Question about 2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE

The spark plugs are under the aluminum engine cover plate on the top of the engine. ( The one that has the raised ribs and has the 2.4 on it) You need to remove the 4 bolts that hold the plate on the engine and then you will see the spark plugs in the center of the head in between the cam towers. Once you get the plate off, you can't miss them.

If you can't find the sparkplugs you probably shouldn't attempt to change them yourself... no offense. If you mean you can't find them at the auto parts store, ask the guy behind the counter :-)
