Question about 2000 Buick Park Avenue
Even the Buick Parts guy has not found it yet. It should be external, my book said 2001 and later are internal. My problem is I turn the key, dash lights and radio go out (normal), but starter wont run. No sercice light, no codes in ECM, tried 2 different batteries, all fuses OK, swapped relays in fuse box around, did this a week ago, turned key 3 times and then started. I can turn ignition on, lay under car, in park, and jump power from starter solenoid batt. post to small start post, engine starts and runs for 1 to 3 seconds, then like you shut key off, dies. Can do this several times, same result. Is gas in fuel rail on top 3.8L engine. Thanks Muck, Roger Jones I have the exact same problem. Installed new starter & selonoid & battery. Replaced relays checked all fuses, cleaned battery & starter wires. Same problem still exists
