Open Question

I have a 2004 expedition, i have a code on the display, it shows prndl error no back up aid, i took to ford and said thay fixed thay replaced the fuel pump it ran long enough to get me home, and now it is not working again, i think it maybe something to do with the transmission, i just dont know can someone help me on this My 2003 Lincoln Navigator wont start. I turn the key and hear a whirring coming from the passenger side near the glove box and get a message on the dash saying 'PRNDL ERROR'. Whats my problem?

Hey I just figured out the problem with my 2003 Navigator. It was a problem with one of the relays overheating. (relays are just big fuses and are located in your fusebox which is located under your glovebox. just remove the panel to expose them, it just pulls out so you dont need any tools.) ANYWAYS. here is the service message from ford. SPECIAL SERVICE MESSAGE

in order to fix the problem you just have to replace the upper right relay (#203 in my navigator) I just switched it out with one for my towing lights (#201 in my truck) which I dont use at all but will still go and order one up to replace with. Hopefully that helps!!!

SOURCE: How to fix a prndl problem on my Lincoln navigator

The transmission in your Navigator is a ZF 6-speed(german transmission company) and the PRNDL sensor is internal. The transmission should not have to be removed to service the part , but the valve body of the transmission will need to be and this is not a job for a novice. The truck will need to be towed to a dealer or capable repair shop and have the switch diagnosed and a repair preformed.Good Luck!

'99 Ford Expedition replaced manifold exhaust causes SES

Any shop ,should have a scanner that reads all codes. If Midas doesn't have the equip, they should shut down operations. Forget the dealer. In the future, forget the Midas and chain stores and find a good local shop before you need one. They skim off the easy work and now, your worse of than before,or had more than one issue, and they won't admit to the services they are capable of performing. Can't say they did anything wrong, you just have to continue on ,and work on the remaining issues. Best to forget Midas and not place fault anywhere, Just repair the veh properly and move on.

Cd error on my Ford 2004 expedition

I have seen this often..assuming there isn't a CD jambed in it....usually means you have to send it out for repair...its most of the time an internal problem.....you can try first is disconnect the plug at the back and reinstall them and turn it back on...If it still shows ERROR....replace the radio... If its a stuck CD...FORD radios DO NOT LIKE homemade CDs, they are to thick, and labels hang it up...If this is the problem use a "needle nose pliers" and extract it the best you can AND DON'T USE COPIED CD's....hope this helps you..GL

Airbag error code 24. What does it mean?

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.
Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault
