My passport won't start, new battery and I replaced the starter. The old starter's gear's teeth were worn down so I am assuming the flexplate is bad since I put a new starter in and it still won't start. ...

Does the starter turn over? To change the flexplate you need to remove the transmission which can be difficult without the proper tools and equipment. Ideally you want to do it on a lift and you want to have a transmision jack and maybe another set of hands to help out. Did you have the old starter tested to see if it was bad? If its still good you have a whole seperate issue.

Need to replace the starter..where is it located

It is on the passenger side, under the truck, mounted to the transmission. It's not too bad to replace, except for the top bolt for the starter, it's a bit difficult to get to.

How difficult is it to replace a 2004 Dodge Durango Starter?

this should not be difficult. Look under the vehicle near the transmission. on the bettom of the engine block will be sticking out the starter. 2 bolts and it will slide out. Replace with the new starter. You may need to jac up the vehicle or use car ramps to have enough room under the vehicle

Where is the starter located in a 1995 lebaron

starter is located on the drivers side near the radiator. the connections are a little difficult but the starter bolts are easy to get to and the starter is easy to replace. I replaced one in a parking garage. Took about 30 minutes

Where is the selenoid on a 1992 olds 88, and is it difficult to replace

Hi there,

Not difficult at all,

Two bolts for the starter
Two nuts for the starter wires
Two screws for the solenoid

The actual process is a bit more complicated, but only marginally. I was trying to give you the complexity level you requested

Best regards
Mike

Replace/fix starter on 1991 Lexus LS400

Not too bad. Not much room, just enough to drop the starter. It is probably easier to go up through exhaust if you can get your exhaust shield off the manifold .

I need to pull and reinstall starter on '93 audi cs90

starters seem difficult, but can be accomplish relatively quickly. there friendly because you don't have to worry about belts and gaskets. My assumption here is that you know you need to replace the starter and you know where the starter is located.
first disconnect negative battery cable.
On the starter you will need to disconnect power and ground. then you can pull the bolts and remove the bad starter. Installation is reverse of course. Once installed and secure, always double check the gound connection. reconnect battery and off ya go. Time should 45ish minutes.

Starter Replacement 1995 4wd, 6 cyl Pickup

Very difficult, apparently 4wd makes it even harder
you need to drop part to the front suspension to get it out

i attempted to do it myself but couldn't and just ended up having it towed in for servicing, im not sure how savvy you are but its a pretty big job (took 3 hours for the shop to do)

so i would probably suggest just taking it in,
also Nissan rebuilt starters are known to have problems
