I have a 2003 Sienna which has failed to start a couple of times now.
When it fails, it turns over, but does not start. If I wait a half hour
or so, it starts and runs fine. I'm thinking the fuel filter needs to be
changed, but I can't find it on the vehicle. I have crawled all over
underneath and looked under the hood, but I can't find it. I've asked a
couple of parts houses where it could be located, but to no avail. The
Internet has not been much help either. If anyone knows where the fuel
filter can be found on this vehicle, the info would be greatly appreciated.
Matt I have a 2002 Toyota Sienna, yesterday I lost all power - none of the gauges in the dashboard work, A/C does not turn on, Power locks and Power door do not work, I suspect I have lost the ABS too. The car starts and I can drive around. I am trying to figure out what would be the problem, the technician at Tire Kingdom told me that the computer is gone and I need to take it to TOYOTA, anybody has any input on this?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Prius2 is not powering up after one person swapped ower polarityof battery while changing it. We changed Big fuse at the front of the car and couple of small fuses. Now when pressing power button we have engine light and power button orange light fore just one sec. After it just stays dead. While pressing power button you can hear couple relays clicking for a sec and dc to dc giving hi frequency noise for the same amount of time. Help us please. This prius was manufactured in 2003. Many Thanks
DO NOT PUSH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1. turn off the power button for the power sliding doors located on the lower dash area.
(in for on out for off)
2. close the sliding doors
3. disconect the battery and wait 1 minute.
4. reconect the battery, turn on the power switch
5. use one of the door control buttons open and close the door this should reset the door.
If this fails to get it working i'm sorry but you will need to take it to a dealer.
and most likly it will need a new drive $3000 aproxmatly. it can not be serviced
To my knowledge after 2001/2, Toyota no longer uses an external fuel filter on their Sienna models, all the fuel filters are incorporated with the fuel pump inside the tank. Should your model still have an external fuel filter it would be underneath the air filter assembly. You could verify by following the the fuel line/hose.
Additionally, you may want to have your car's computer codes scanned/read, there may be indicators/errors. Depending on the errors/code displayed, they may be causing your intermittent starting which could be anywhere from the O2 sensors to the two A/F sensors or entirely something else.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
