Most likely your window regulator is broken. if so i would remove the door panel and loosen it form the regulator side it up and prop it with a piece of wood. M.B. fuses their windows in an (x) ps=attern i.e. lf and rr-rf and lr. see if the opposite window works.

Wind the window down completely. You should be able to get a hooked wire down behind the glass to snag the lock mechanism. You could also call your auto club for assistance.

Window on 2001 toyota solara "fell" down. What's wrong?

A few possibilities, either the window regulator has broken, or the bracket that holds the glass at the bottom has come loose from the glass. The bracket can pull off the glass, especially with power windows when you're trying to lower the window and it is stuck from freezing or old glass runs that are trapping the window from moving.

re-installing the bracket to the glass is often tricky, and it is easy to shatter the glass. Often best left for a car repair shop or an automotive glass shop to repair.

You will need to remove the door panel to inspect for what the issue is, and then repair it accordingly.

Drivers door glass will go all the way down , only comes back up 1/2 way then jams

Spray some WD 40 on the side groves where the glass runs. if this solution proves tp be a mute one. Go to glass place the motor may be shot and need replacement. The cost for this job is about 30 dollars or so. But it is best to invest otherwise you may get stuck in the pouring rain with the window down.

Left passenger rear side window is stuck in the down position; motor seems to work but cannot bring window to the up position to fully close. what is the cause and solution?

If the motor works then the window should move up, this sounds like the regulator may have broken, try to lift the glass by hand and see if it moves, if you are able to move the glass up then the regulator is bad but if the glass wont move then it would have to be the motor or the switches. you can try banging on the inside of the door while holding the switch in the up postion, this sometimes helps when a motor is going bad, good day.

Hi,
The window scraper seal has been dislodged from its position, those white pins that you see are the locking pins that holds it down into position. If that is the one you replaced better bring it back to the shop that installed it. Plastic clips/pins might already broken.
Installing it without any experience in opening the inside mechanism of the door/window will vodi the warranty of the works that have done to it.
Placing it back, you have to remove the door cover, window regulator, wiring harness, and window glass. Just to get that small thing back into position.
Hope that helps you out.
Thanks fro asking FixYa!

The driver window (power) will only go down approx. a quarter inch, then stop as if its stuck. It is able to go back up again.

It is possible for a plastic part called a Window Regulator to break in different places. Sometimes just a tooth will break and jam the motor gear. Other times the entire window will drop at the break.

You can get this fixed at a Glass shop in less than an hour while you wait. If you make an appointment, they may get the part for you or some shops prefer the customer bring the part.
It is really up to the shop on how they do business.

There may be fasteners attaching the Regulator to the glass which are difficult to remove without the right tool. And an experienced person may not break the glass trying to fix the mechanism.

Passenger window stuck down on chrysler grand voyager year 2004

NO COST and fast PROCEDURE TO FIX IT, if just one window stuck:

1. Sit in vehicle, on seat next to problematic window
2. Ignition key is on
3. Door in question is opened (in case you closed it)
4. While door is open, press and hold power window button in desired window travel, keep button pressed !!
5. SLAM hard the door closed with one hand while other hand holds button as per #4.
6. Watch window operate as it should.

7. Repeat 3-6 if necessary, but usually the first try works!

This way, try this first before spending $ at the dealer, or taking door apart to hit motor. as mentioned above post.

Front window stuck hasnt been working and came down today and wont go back up

You might have a bad window motor or there might be a connection to the window motor that might be curoded. It might be worth taking the door panel off and taking a look to see if you have a bad connection.

'88 toyota camry rear window stuck in down position

To get to the Window:

Remove Door Inside Handle:
remove screw, slide the handle forward.
Disconnect the control link and remove the handle.

Remove Door Trim with Inner WeatherStrip:
Remove the two screws from the armrest.
Insert a screwdriver between the trim retainers and the door panel to pry it loose.  Eight hidden fasteners. 1 top left side of door.
1 right side about same height as top of armrest. 1 (each side) about same height as bottom of armrest. 1 on each corner bottom. 1 bottom in middle.  1 on left side between bottom corner and the previous at about lower armrest height...

Remove Service Hole cover.
Remove Door Glass Run.

Remove Division Bar (upper window section divider):
Remove the two screws under the weatherstrip
Remove the bolt.
Pull out the division bar.

Remove the Window Glass:
Place the glass in the door cavity.
Remove the two glass channel mounting bolts.
Remove the window glass by pulling it upwards.

You now have access to the Power Window Regulator; possible replacement of motor etc.

What type of 'things' have you tried for fixing the window and restoring operation?

Chev extend cab 2002 truck side window stuck 1/2 way down

Presumably an electric window? Stand outside truck with door open and hold the window between your palms. Gently lift the glass to a closed position while someone activates the control (with engine running). You should be able to determine if the glass is jammed (moving glass slightly backward and forward should aid movement) or if a little hellp makes the window move easily.

If the window appears jammed, it could be off the track. A repair would require removal of the door panel.

If the window appears to only require help to close, your door motor could be getting weak or some how the window track could be causing a bind.

At least you should be able to get the window closed.

good luck.
