How to tell if motor is completely dead. Read below.

I would have started with a compression check. There is a good chance that you have a warped or cracked head, or a blown head gasket at the least. Aluminum heads do not like getting overheated. But even this does not mean that the engine is junk, you just have to decide if it is worth fixing.

Once car warms up it begins to miss, as soon as i take my foot off the gas it dies and will not start it turns over but wont fire. now once the car cools down it starts and runs fine until it warms up...

sounds like a typical ignition coil break down. when they go bad they act up when they get hot. very easy to replace. it is what the plug wires come from.

Onece in a while turn over wont fire. runs great other wise

your injector or fuel pump may be going out, next time when you check the issue, check your distubutor again and making sure you getting sparks, if you do have sparks than it has to be your fuel problems.

Will turn over and start, then no power to go.

If you were driving and then your car encountered stalling and then came to an ultimate halt because you had previously turned on your AC, this sounds like a very bad case of an ISC malfunction. Usually the engine stalls and in your case resulted in this and then complete failure. Here's more to this diagnostic explanation:

I hope this helps! Brad

Car wont start

Check the ignition system for spark at the plugs. I had a similar problem a few years back with mine. Engine died while I was driving along on the interstate. Turned out that the spring pin holding the bevel gear to the bottom of the didtributor shaft had broken in three pieces. Installed a new pin, installed the distributor with the #1 cylinder at TDC, and it fired right up.
