Rear driver's side window not working

Hello,

I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited edition and I am having a problem with the rear driver's side window. The car has power windows and the motor on this particular window is working, but the window is not moving and is stuck in the down position. When you push the button to move the window up or down, you can hear the motor working and a lot of pieces clanking around. I removed the door panel from this location and noticed that there were a lot of loose cables, springs etc. Would this be something that would be an easy fix, or would a professional be needed? Any help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

SOURCE: 2004 Mitsubishi Galant window probem

your going to have to remove the door panel. remove the screws and you will iencounter plastic pieces call christmas trees these are a pain but the sell a tool for these at an auto parts store for about 10 bucks. disconnect the plug if you have power windows, if you have manual windows there is a clip that holds the handle on the shaft. use a small screwdriver to remove this. now you can remove the panel awy from the door. this will allow access to the window regulater. you said it sounded like something is loose. check to see if the control arm is disconnected from the lower part of the window. hope this helps

SOURCE: 2004 mitsubishi endeavor passenger rear window off track

Yea its actully quite simple, but expensive. The regulator needs to be replaced. I have already replaced my right rear, but I think my driver side is going out also, sounds like it anyway.
Thank God I bought a third party warrnty and they took care of everything. Zurich is the name of the company. I purchased the one with no deductible. Anyway I wish I had a better solution-but its awful hard to do your self.

Yes, I would replace it according to the owner's manual. Could be very expensive if it breaks.

The drivers side rear window is frozen and will not go up or down. The other windows work. How do I get it to unfreeze.

Hit the door panel with your fist or a soft faced mallet and see if the window starts working again. If so the window motor is defective.

Windows on passenger side front and rear won't work, up or down.

He could have been more helpful and explained it's likely some broken wires in the door openings. Check carefully the wire harness in the front driver's door and in the passenger front door, where wires get stressed the most when opening and closing doors. The driver's window switch is the master switch for all windows, check there and the other doors openings for broken wires. Splice back together any broken wires you find and recheck windows. Hope you find it. If not there, but somewhere else in the harness, you would probably need professional help to find it.

Mitsubishi Endeavor 2004 making roaring noise in rear

It just may be the tires. Tire cupping will make a roaring noise. You can check for this with your palm. Run you hand over the tread of the tire while parked. Look and feel for cups or scalloped dips appearing around the edge of the tread on one side or the other.

I have a knocking sound in the backend of my 2004 Endeavor.

There are multiple bushings in the rear spindles. I just had to change both driver and pass side rear lower control arm bushings in the girlfriends. They are a mitsu only part and go for about 50 each.
