Leave tire on ground BEFORE you break the lugs loose, then jack it up.tire on ground will hold wheel from turning while you break lugs loose.then jack it up to change .also, put lug nuts on snug, lower to ground ,then tighten to specs,90-100psi.

Are you trying to get the rim off? Hard to understand from what you have written. Spray some WD-40 or similar in the stud holes. Let sit for a few minutes, then smack the inside of the wheel with a hammer to break free.

lug bolts too tight, ? (a disease of all tires shops this)
my wild guess is, you meant the lug bolts are too tight.
if yes, are all of them like that, ????
if yes, that means , they put them on too thight
my car is 60-80 flt/lbs the dig bulbs at the local tire shop use
and impact gun at 150. so they never see me again. ever.
i do most work my self even at my old age, but i never skin tires.
did that by hand at 19yo but not now.
take them off and then put them back at the spec torque
some dinky cars like these can warp the rotors set too tight.
the operators guide in every car, made shows the spec, read it.
lost the guide, bingo here it is

Back pass side tier is wobaly. can u help?

The Tire may become wobbaly if it has not been tighten down properly or if some of the bolts that hold it on have become lose or broken.

I would suggest you jack the car up just enough to take most of the weight off the tire but not all the way up. You want to be able to tighten the bolts down without the tire spinning on you but still be able to get the bolt to tighten the Rim (Tire) down all the way.

Check all the bolts to be sure they are not broken. If they are broken you will need to replace them. If the bolts are ok then tighten them down but be sure to start at the top one. Then tighten the opposite bolt, never the one beside the one you just finished but always the opposite bolt. Tightening the opposite bolts until all the bolts are tight will allow your Tire (Rim) to be tightened evenly and should stop the wobble.

Another thing to look for is a loose hub cap giving just the apperance of a wobbely tire but it is just a lose hub cap.

If you have driven through a pot hole or over a curb recently then you may have damaged the Rim the tire sit on or the tire itself and that would mean the tire or rim would have to be replaced.

Lastly you may have a worn out ball joint. In this case it would need to be replaced by a shop as it is very difficult to do if you do not have the correct tools.

Rim will not come off

put 1 lug nut on a few turns do not comletely tighten and hit tire on inside with a mini sledge hammer do not hit rim, if you have aluminum rims this happens because of the oxidation and gets stuck on the brake rotor

I have a 2005 chevy impala and want to know the bolt pattern and the length apart of each bolt & can i put 20 inch rims on it?

Your best bet is to go to local tire store and pose this question.

The bolt pattern is one thing, but fender / body clearance for a much larger wheel is another matter altogether.

Whining noise from front of 2003 impala.higher

Sounds like it could be the wheel bearing. Jack up the car, and see if the tire feels loose when pushing in and out at the top and bottom of the tire. That;s the most obvious way to check. But many times, the bearing is tight, but still bad.

Open hood. on top of headlight assembly you will find 2 small bolts. I believe a 10mm. socket should fit. Take the 2 bolts, out and remove complete assembly.

2007 Impala SS with 30,000 miles mysteriously jumps from cd/aux to radio...

Do you have the steering wheel controls? If so, my guess is the "source"button on the steering wheel control maybe sticking. If I remember, I'll look at my Impala and see if the contol can be disconnected at the steering wheel.
