its a loud raddle sound, I put my ear to it and I don't know if its the tension pulley or the one above

If it's a rattle, it could be a pulley. Best way to troubleshoot it is to have someone operate the gas pedal while another watches the engine run.

Sounds like a loose belt. Is it a squealing noise?

If you use a funnel with the spout near your ear, you can zero in on the sound and probably conclude which of the two is making the noise.

It could be the bearings in the alternator or could be the bearings in the idler pulley or trenchener pulley. if the alternator goes out it will not charge the battery if the others go then the belt will brake and you can cause more damage to the car.

Is my oil pump faulty?

I can't tell what kind of car you have, but off the cuff it sounds like you have a pulley with a bearing inside that is failing. There are several pulleys that it could be, here are their names and I've listed them according to the most probable to the least probable for most everyday American cars. Idler pulley, alternator pulley, tensioner pulley, power steering pulley, and air conditioning compressor pulley. Whatever you do, it sound like it needs RIGHT NOW attention.
Be blessed.

This noise could be the alternator, water pump, power steering pump, idler pulley or tensioner pulley. Sometimes an automotive stethescope is used to isolate noises around the engine.

I have a 1999 oldsmobile cutlass and the gas gauge doesn't work and it has the loud sweeking sound when i crank my car up and then it stops when the car warm up, i jus put a brand new belt on my car! what...

Try some bar soap on the belt before you start it for the squeal it is the alternator pulley or bearing. The alternator is trying to recharge the power back in to the battery that you used to start the car. So the belt slips on the pulley.

High pitch sound when giving gas

Some possibilities are; belt tensioner, belt idler pulley, alternator. A mechanic using a stethoscope can isolate where sound is coming from.

I was told its the waterpump that is making a load snorkeling noice what is its if not? almost like a dieseling noice also

Yes the water pump can make noises but there is also the belts that can make noises.
So pour some water when the car starts on the belt and pump area to see if the sound stops, if belt noise it will stop but if this is the water pump, the alternator bearing or the idler pulley , it must be checked.

High pitch whining sound from engine

Check the power steering fluid if its low it could cause this. Also could be alternator, water pump, ac compressor, or idler pulley. My bet would be on the idler pulley, its the one that keeps the belt tension constant. Remove the belt and check this pulley for slack also spin it by hand.
Good luck, dont forget to rate.

it is not the steering pump because you are not moving the wheel it is the idler pulley it might need replacing check to see if the belt is in good condition if it is just use belt dressing on the pully to see if the sound goes away if it does then the idler pulley needs replacing

It could be several things, most likely the idler pulley that keeps the serpentine belt tight. But could also be, power steering pump, altenator. ac compressor or water pump. The best way to find out is to remove the belt from the car by releasing the idler pulley tension. Then one by one check each component by feeling for slack in them and spinning them by hand to see if you feel
roughness. Good luck and dont forget to rate.

This totally sounds like a Muffler Flange has come Loose. Have someone get in and lightly hit the Gas while you walk around the Car and find out exactly Where the sound is coming from.
