I have a 97 jeep wrangler sport I have no power to my injectors or ignition coil

Dark green wire with black tracer is primary voltage for coil and fuel injectors, goes hot with engine cranking. The voltage comes from asd relay.
Some makes and models, the computer has to see both cam and crank sensor signals or it may not ground the asd relay.
Any applicable trouble codes?

Are any trouble codes stored? Is there power to the ASD relay? You likely have a blown fusible link or corroded terminal under the fuse box.

Jeep will crank but no start what can my problem be

well you need to find out if it is spark or fuel giving you the problem check for spark first they have problems with the crankshaft position sensor which could be the problem not easy to get to its bolted to the bell housing with 2 bolts if you do not have spark that would be a good place to start

Check the ignition coil harness you may have a bad connection. When you turn the key on the relay ASD should click without the ASD relay operation expect no power to coil and even no fuel pump. Do this turn the key on and cycle the switch you should hear the fuel pump activate. If you dont check the fuse. For the coil to have no power you may have bad connection on the harness or connection.Go to the ignition coil on the B+ that is battery power apply battery power and see it it starts. If it doesnt you will need to inspect ignition control modulecansmo_197.gif

WHEN MONITORED
With battery voltage greater than 8 volts during engine cranking or greater than 13 volts with engine running. Engine RPM less than 3000. No coil in dwell during test.

SET CONDITION
Peak current is not achieved with battery based dwell plus 1.5 msec of diagnostic offset. It takes less than 3 seconds during cranking or up to 6 seconds while running to set.

POSSIBLE CAUSES

- Intermittent condition
- ASD relay output circuit
- Ignition coil driver circuit open
- Ignition coil driver circuit shorted to ground
- PCM

Hi!!

When a faulty coil gets hot, it quits working, you have a 3 pack and they hardly ever go out in packs, usually one at the time and it will be misfiring and loss of power before the engine dies and the check engine light will come on. If check engine light is on, have the codes scanned to find out which coil is defective.

Otherwise, I would go for the ignition module, it is the flat part in wich the coils sit on. Check connector and wiring.

Check for spark in all 3 colis when no start condition occurrs, if no spark in nither one, replace ignition module.

You may have a bad crank sensor or PCM, or ignition module. Or you may have a ign or PCM fuse that popped.
