Question about 2002 Isuzu Axiom
I want to say you have to have the transmission oil up to operating temp, and you remove the upper fill plug and if it drips out, or you can feel the fluid then you're good to go! I usually just have my mechanic check it while it's there!

Automatics do not have a dip stick. The transmission pan has two plugs on the bottom, one for filling and one for draining. The fluid must be pumped in the upper plug at running temperature until full.
