Question about 1995 Toyota 4Runner
Ok...my 95 4runner is an absolute gem; 3.0, 4wd, a/t, 115k. I love it to death excepting the dismal 150 3 liter V6. Here's why I'm posting: What's the best way to squeeze more hp out of her without compromise? A chip? K&N intake? Both? or is it that an attempt at futility and I get what I get and don't throw a fit?? maybe even drop in a 3.4?
Currently the 3.0 is mechanically sound, head gaskets replaced under recall in 2000, gas mileage is still within specs (14-18). No major issues as some other posts on here.
You can get a Dyno tune done at a speed shop. Drive down to the local speed shop and they would know the best guy's in town to Dyno tune your engine.
You can work with the tech to tune your toyota the way you want it to perform. Can change the shift points to the transmission, RPM limit, and speed limit too.
Going to keep it simple so do the K&N filter, good spark plugs and wire, and Dyno tune.
Good luck and keep me posted. be glad to answer more questions
