The oil light generally means the oil pressure is low, most likely the sending unit is defective, but to be safe have the oil pressure tested with a mechanical test gauge, if it is low and u drive it this way you will ruin a $8,000 engine.

2001 XJ8 #1 cylinder misfire

I would start by checking to see if the signal is being pulsed to the coil and/or the injector. If those are good, check the compression.

The check engine light is flashing

Well, with tune up done, it could be ANY of the following. Low fuel pressure, no spark, bent intake or exhaust valve, bad oil rings, flat spot on cam shaft, now I don't know anything about "CRV" these are just possible causes on any gasoline engines. If I had more experince with these I might be able to tell you but I can't. Look online for your vechile recalls, I suggest they'll have alot of recalls and other notices on your vechile if there is any.

My 2001 jeep started to run terrible, making horrible noises and I took it to the service station. They said there was no oil in it and the engine is shot. I had the oil changed a month ago and no warning...

That happens some times the switch has malfuntioned and or the fuse has blown on all of your warning lights. Have you seen oil on the ground or has it been smoking.

Where is the tire sensor reset button on a 2008 Toyota Avalon

Firestone Hmmmmmm. Well the reset button is located just under the dash to the left of the steering column, hold for a few seconds and the light should go out. Hopefuly the firestone tech won't tell you your brakes need greasing the next time you go in for service, haha. Oh, I do beleive your tire pressure should be 29 psi. But, you can check your owners manual for correct pressures. It sould also tell you where the reset button is also. That should FixYa good luck.

2001 XJ8 Vanden Plas engine light

I've had the same problem on my 2001. It turned out to be the battery. Apparently the voltage had dropped to the point that the computer began to malfunction. I'd first go to a battery shop and have it checked under load before looking for other solutions.
