Ring Fell Down Defrost Vent

So my Fiance's brand new gold engagement ring fell down the defrost vent... we were driving back from Cali and her hands were swollen so she took it off and placed it on the dashboard, we have both put jewelry there before.. anyway I hit a speed bump and we heard it clink down. When we got into town I took off the panel under the steering wheel, the panel where the cigarette lighter is and the panel around the gear shift but it seems to be further down, in the center where the a/c and heat knobs are and where the stereo is. Can someone tell me how to either take off the dashboard its self or the panel around the stereo and ac/heat knobs?
Thank you...
She is really upset and I have no clue what to do especially since I know the ring is THERE I just can't reach it... :(

I cannot get any air, hot or cold, fresh or a/c, to come thru the vents in the dash. Floor vents and defrost are the only source of air flow. What now ???

Sounds like the lil motor on the bottom side vent is bad or else garbabe fell down defrost outlet and has the motor blocked from working..Take something like an screwdriver and work some of the junk out the bottom vent..Hope this helps...

I need help!!! my wifes ring fell in the vent on the dash. I thing its the vent for the defrost. Is their a way that I can get into the duct? An If so how?

you'll need to pull the dash out. I would sugest taking it to someone who knows more than the novice man(like myself). Dashes of newer models seem to have more clips than screws. if you crack a plastic tab for one of those....
