I am a woman learning to fix my 2002 GMC Envoy and it is knocking and the oil disappeared. I had an oil change about 2 months ago.

Could need an engine rebuild you cannot drive without oil and not do damage to the bearings.

No power, and cant put in gear

Please add rather more detail and resubmit the query, there really is insufficient information here to ADDRESS. When is there no power, after how long does this happen? Does the engine run at all in a normal manner. Why can you not engage the clutch? If it is an automatic does it not let you move the gear lever etc.
Please add the details and repost

Wen time tochange. Time belt on 2003 gmc envoy

from what i can gather, the 03 envoy has a timing chain, which isnt projected to need service during the life of the vehicle.

if the engine gets over 200,000 miles, you might want to change it, tho. i dont think gm expected them to last that long.

Yukon XL was first showing Reduced Engine Power, then Oil Gauge quit working, now car is running hot

Might help, disconnect negative terminal from battery for 10 minutes, if the compute is getting weird readings this will reset it and maybe help.

Engine stop running

no year, no joy, post the year,
and engine size (option)
when parked, moving, hot or cold engine or both.?
ever do the 60k mile tuneup? called the 60,000 miles service points.
open glove box, extract operators guide turn to , maintenance section
but in generic form.:
1: engine compression must be good. 150PSI or more. all all cyl.
2: spark good
3: fueling correct.
4: egr not stuck open, (clean it at 60k)
5: ISC not sticking closed , sure clean it too.

03 GMC Yukon transmission clunk at idle

2005 Yukon XL 1500 2wd 252,000 miles
It developed a noise like a can full of rocks slowly rolling
It only did it in neutral or park with engine running.
Putting in gear would stop it.
Turned out to be a loose filter element in the transmission.
At least that's what I was told by my mechanic.
Solved the noise though

How to diagnose rough idle and hesitation on gmc sonoma 2.5 4 tech?

Hello I have a 1995 Sonoma 4.3 with 150.000 on her and she ran great tell last week went to pick up a lite trailer and dove it home no problem drove it all day after that. The parked it running fine and next morning it won't hold a idle but clears up at 3000 RPM runs fine drop in gear and it won't stay running??? Cleaned TBI and there was a new fuel pump and filter put on it less them 7.000 miles ago. Found vacuum leak on the booster to manifold fix that still runs like it is misfiring??? Any help would be great thanks no check engine light on.

Dies when shifted into gear

May be having problems with engine vacuum leaking. Pull the large hose going to the vacuum operated brake booster and block off the hose end with a cork or other plug. Start the engine and see if it runs more smoothly. Set the emergency brake and put in gear--does it idle smoothly? If so, then you likely have a bad vacuum leak within the booster unit. Restore the vacuum hose to the cylinder and arrange to replace the cylinder.

Put car in gear trans. Does not engage right away. 2007 model envoy, 38k miles. Sometimes seems to slip

tranny may need overhaul. It is possible that the vacuum actuator is leaking and will need to be replaced. Much cheaper then replacing tranny
