Question about 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier
My Service light, ABS light, Trac Off light stay on and makes eng run ruff (not always) Ran test, said left front ABS sensor bad. Replaced it and a few weeks later lights still on? Replaced breaks all around to include drums and rotors and both front calipers. Disconnected batt. for 10 min. nothing the lights are still on? Car is at it's 100,000 mile mark, would that have something to do with it? Does it need to go to dealer to turn off??? I have a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier that no one has been able to properly diagnose the problem. The ABS, Trac off, Check engine light and Service lights are all on. The brakes have been replaced. Last time it went to the shop the mechanic said probably the alternator. The new alternator was done and the lights went off for a day after putting in the new alternator, but have all come on again. Also every once in a while the car seems to have power surges--like the headlights will dim, and the windsheild wipers will slow. I would like to get an idea what is wrong before I bring it to the dealer. i have a 2004 chy cav also the check engine light came on and showed the intake sensor was out but before that my car was shifting really hard i have a after market intake so i didnt think anything of it. i took it to a transmition shop and they didnt know what was wrong.they sent me to an electrical specialist and he said to change the sensor and it should take care of the prob. it did for 4 blocks and started shifting hard agian. i took it back and he said that my computer was bad! he and i checked the wires and conections with the volt meter everything had power and ground. he cleared the code and it ran fine for 2 blockes then the light came back on and shifted hard. IS MY COMPUTER GONE BAD?????
