Access to tail light wiring harness plug

I have to replace the passenger side tail light in a 2002 hyundai santa fe. The replacement tail light came with all the bulbs and wiring harness, which I would like to use. I took off the old tail light with no problem. However, the old tail light wiring goes through 3/4" hole, and then then plug (which I need to unplug) is about 4" away from that hole). Do you know how I can gain access to the plug? I have the same problem but mine is a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe

The light itself is easy. Two screws an the inside edge and then pull out away from the trunk. To access the plug, DO NOT pop out any plastic plugs or screws. Get a big flast screwdriver and start near the trunk rubber gasket and gently PRY away the rear, lower quarter panel trunk liner (the plastic one that holds the rear speaker). Mine was dark grey vs the lighter upper. I just popped THREE of these clips and could access the hidden plug which sits just below the rear speaker. get someone to hold the new lamp assembly while you plug it in and test, then screw it back in and pop the panel back on. DONT try and remove the right hand cubby - that ****** is jammed in and just results in screwdriver scars.

2002 hyundai santa fe alternator

Mostly from the bottom is what worked for me for the bottom screw and i also used the top to remove the screw that is on top. You will need to remove the front passenger side tire, six screws that hold the plastic cover and then you can get to the alternator. Dont forget to unhook the negative cable wire from your battery. I removed both wires just to be on the safer side. You will have a total of two bolts to remove the alternator, one screw to remove the ground wire (on your alternator) and one wire harness clip. I did it last week and it wasn't as bad as i thought. Good luck.

How do I connect a trailer hitch power plug to the break lights and tail lights to my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe.

Under the vehicle by the tail lights locate the lights wiring and look for this colors.
it's only four colors white-ground point,brown-parking lights,yellow-left side turn signal light and green-right side turn signal.
you are going to need a test light to find the correct wire,if you can't locate the wiring unther the vehicle then remove the tail lights and do the connections there.

Basicly, remove bulbs, disconnect wiring harness from bulbs. Remove nuts that hold lamp in and replace with new fixture. Should go ahead and replace buls while you are in there.

How do I replace fog lights on my 2002 Hyundai Santa Fe?

Look up into the bumper and see if you can access the fog light. The bulb should just twist out of the back. If not, the assembly should either pop forward or back to come out. I've heard though, that many santa fe's require the removal of the entire front bumper fascia just to get to the bulbs in which case you'd have to remove your headlights to get to the screws holding the bumper fascia on

You have to remove the access panel on the interior side of the passenger compartment to access that connector.. it's a simple procedure after you see the wire harness and bulkhead boot.

2004 Santa Fe Tail Light wire connection

Now that you have the screws out, you need to pull away from the front left (driver spot) or right (passenger side) depending on which tail light your replacing. There will be a small tab in the corner closest to the vehicle, undo the clip and it will come out clean and easy!

You might need some needle nose pliers :)
