after checking all of that still no luck change your water pump and check your belt faulty water pumps look like they are pumping fine but really they just dont push the correct amount of water

Could you please clarify the temp switch -- which switch is this?

It sounds like you have air in the cooling system.

    Are you loosing coolant?

Please ignore the previous message I'm having a problem getting rid of "saved material; and apparently it's taking the place of my response. To your question: run it without the cap on, heater on high and see if there is any air in there...also check that fan is coming on.

94 accord ex still running hot after new water pump, hoses, termostat

Is it actually overheating or is your gauge just saying it is, did you measure the water temp to see if you have a bad temp sensor?
Have you started it from cold with the radiator cap off and let it warm up till water starts circulating so you can see that it actually is? New thermostat in backwards could cause it also.

Temp Gauge went to high

It could be 3 things: Temp sensor, thermostat, or fan relay. Fans don't usually turn on until car has been idleing for a while. I first would change thermostat, then relay, then temp sensor. Coolant must be 50/50 mixture for water pump to have proper lubricant from antifreezer. Do not go any further than a 60water/40antifreeze mix

Theres a transmission cooling sensor and somtimes the wire comes loose from other repairs being done around it. or its just out. its on the left side sitting on the tranny. THATS WHY your d4 light is blinking

2004 crvautomatic high idle on cold startup 1600rpm takes 3 to 5

Hondas are famous for this, my accord does it. This is normal UNLESS it still idles high after normal running temp. has occured. Watch your temp. gauge when it reaches normal temp tap the gas a little bit if the idle drops then it is fine
