Question about 2000 Kia Sportage

1 Answer

Braking pedal goes all the way to the floor....

But the car wouldn't stop easily. I thought that bleeding brakes could solve that problem. How do you bleed brakes on Kia Sportage 2000.

08 expedition new m/c still pedal goes to floor

Don't know how you knew the master cylinder needed
to be, or why it was replaced

They don't fail as often as you hear about reading this
type of web site

If you had braking issues & a fairly decent brake pedal
before new parts went on,then the system wasn't bleed correctly.

I never bench bleed any master cylinder

As you walk it to the vehicle all the fluid runs out,
so why bother, just bleed all 4 corners & your done

The brake pedal goes right to the floor

Did you try bleeding the brakes? Sounds like air in the line.

2001.5 Dodge Ram Diesel 2500 4x4 Brake Pedal drops to floor

It sounds like you have a bad mastercylinder cause when you panic brake it doesn't have time to bleed through the valve in the cylinder but under normal braking your foot is on pedal longer in turn giving the fluid time to bypass the valve in the mastercylinder in turn the pedal going to the floor.

there is still air in your hydraulic lines somewhere bleed the system with a pressurised power bleeder and you will get instant results

1994 ford explorer will not stop, I have replaced the brake pads,

My vote would be the Master Cylinder.
I had a truck sit for 4 years. After getting running again, it did the same thing you're describing. No brakes. I ended up replacing the Master Cylinder to fix the problem. Just make sure you bleed the system real good.

Soft brake pedal after rotor replacement

If they rebled the brakes and the pedal goes to the floor, chances are that the master cylinder is bad. Probably cost about $80-100 for the part if you could do it yourself
