Question about 1995 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

My 96 toyota a/c light starts to blink and the a/c turns off.

I took my toyota to a repar service and they put more (freon?) in and the same problem still ocures. Is the problem in the switch? Dave Santeford I had the same thing happen today in 85 degree heat. I had a few stops to make and kept pushing button in and off. Sometimes it would work for a short time then stop. It finally started working on the last start. I just read something else on another site. It said hold the button down while you crank the engine, and the computer resets it. Try that before you get ripped off.

A/C light blinking.

You'll have to figure out if it is low on freon or an electrical problem.
The light flashes to let you know there is a problem in the system.

Toyota corolla 2003 air conditioning green light blinking and cold air not blowing

You've figured out by now the blinking light means the system has a problem. You'll need to find out if the system is low on freon or if a relay or electrical part is failing. The cooling fan could also be failing to come on, which would make the high side pressure exceed the limit and shut down the system.

1998 toyota sienna ac turn on but turn off after a couple sec.ac light blinks

It is trying to tell you there is a problem with the ac system,it is most likely low on freon, but be sure to check to see if the electric fan on the radiator is coming on with the ac being turned on,if it is,have the freon level checked,if this was at all helpful, please rate, thank you.

When I turn on the A/C the light will blink, compared to normally staying on solid and not blinking. The A/C blows out hot air now. What is the problem?

Well, this is telling you ,the ac needs attention, first guess,is,that the freon is to low for the ac to come on,or it is empty of freon, have the ac checked, and then make sure they put in u-v-dye to detect the leak when it does leak down again. If this was helpful,at all, please rate, thank you.

Could be bad AC clutch relay. Just replaced mine ($11 at autozone). It is located in the relay box just behind the battery.

the a/c system needs to be drawn into a vacuum before being charged to make sure there is no air in the system and no major leaks, should really be done by a trained pro to make sure it is done correctly to ensure long service of your a/c system and compressor, most shops have the correct a/c machines to perform this, hope this helps

My 96 toyota a/c light starts to blink and the a/c turns off.

The AC light does not flash if the freon is too low or too high.
The light flashes because the "compressor revolution sensor" is going bad. It is bolted to the side of the compressor.
