Ezgo cart is fully charged but will go about 3 minutes then slows to a stop

How old are the batteries? Carefully check the fluid level of the batteries. Wear gloves and full face protection if possible as batteries are filled with corrosive acid and there is a chance of explosion. If the cart sat with dead batteries for a extended period of time without being charged the cells in the battery will harden up due to the low charge state making it hard for the battery acid to chemically react with the lead cells when you are trying to charge them. Try replacing the batteries and making sure all of your contacts are clean and are snugly secure.

My tl 1000s is overcharging battery 18.8V on idleing. Tested two rectifire regulators both shows the same. Any help please.

When a battery is giving 18.8 volt, the battery is defect, or your Volt (multi) meter is not calibrated or defect.
Check if all cells have enough fluid and if possible measure each cell to establish if one or more are defect.
each cell can be a little over 2 volts, but 3 or more is really not possible for a working lead acid battery.

An unloaded reading of 10 Volts on a 12 Volt car battery is considered dead. There are 6 cells in a typical lead acid (car) battery - each provides 2 volts. They are internally connected in series to provide 12 volts on the + and - posts. If one is cell shorted out - you'd see 10 volts if fully charged. Trickle charge the battery for 24 hours and measure voltage again. If 12 volts, bring it to be load tested. that will tell you the true state of the battery.

There is steam and a strong egg smell coming from the battery. What is the problem?

This is a high charging on the battery, as it is overcharged . this can be failure of the alternator rectifier or the regulator.
so use a voltmeter and confirm the voltage range to rectify the fault.
A high charging of this nature can damage the battery in the long run.

Battery light comes on

the battery light coming on may indicate that the alternator is not charging,it should come on when the ignition is switched on & go off when the engine is running, you need to check if the battery is being charged or not......hope this helps.....cheers

Audi a4 battrey problem

Yes, your regulator in the alternator is probally bad and burning to battery up. You can over charge the battery, and boil the acid out of the battery.

Batteries won't charge while wired to truck

Hi, seems that your alternator diodes are faulty.
You can check this by disconnecting the radio & switching off all interior lights etc.
Then remove one battery lead.
Then get an amp meter and connect it between the battery & the removed lead.
If you get a reading the alternator is drawing current , hence faulty diodes.
The alternator will still charge the battery when the engine is going but then discharges when stopped.
Also check your batteries with a hydrometer by checking the battery acid in each cell as you could have a dodgey cell in them.

Jeep hard to start then wont idle

Batteries are only good for about 5 years, any older and you risk a dead one in the middle of winter. First make sure your battery cables are tight and you do not have any corrosion (white residue) on them. Next, you should run to autozone and have a free check of your battery and alternator. If you are electronically inclined you can do this procedure to check your battery on your own.

Hook multimeter to battery, it should ready >12 VDC--tests battery condition
Crank car, it should read >13.5--tests alternator charging capability

Turn car off, wearing rubber gloves/eye protection undo battery vent caps (should be 2 of them, depending on the battery). Have baking soda and clean water handy if you get acid on you. Just rub with baking soda and rinse with water.

With vent caps off, you will see 6 holes on the top of the battery. Each hole represents a series circuit, much like putting 2 AA batteries in a remote control to make the voltage 3 volts. Each cell is a multiple 2 volts. Place negative lead of multimeter on negative of battery, Next place positive lead inside battery cell until you are touching the acid. Going in sequence, each cell should give you a reading of 2,4,6,8,10,12 volts. If one cell doesn't give you a multiple of 2 volts, it is a "dead" cell and the battery will need to be replaced.

Also be advised that the alternator is not designed to charge a dead battery, only keep a good battery charged. If you keep charging your bad battery, you alternator will be the next to go. This is why they seem to go in pairs.
