take long bolts out that run thru motor mounts ,jack in front of motor all bolts in oil pan out, remove oil pan and then remove oil pump, replace new pump ,torque to specs, replace oil place with new pan gasket , bolts back thru mounts and ready to go, hope to help, thanks robert b.
This is a faulty or damaged oil pump and screen as well. replacing the oil pump and screen will fix this issue. i would do this asap. your rod bearings are suffering at this time.
usually comes on when you have to much/to little oil, or it needs to be changed, with the oil filter.. that should be the only reasons for it coming on.
checkout the oil sending unit for the most part its close to the oil filter also checkout this website to see if they have your car listed its www.autozone.com and if they do you be able to get pictures and diagrams showing you parts on your car
There is the possibility the oil sending unit might be bad, but it is more likely that the oil preasure drops to a dangerous level when the engine is warm and the oil thins out. It would be advisable to take it to a shop and have them check the oil preasure with a remote preasure guage just to be sure before it could cause major and very expensive damage.
