Question about 1986 Chrysler Fifth Avenue
There is no power going to the cigarette lighter. I Think that it may be that there is a short in the wiring, but I am not sure where to look, or what to do next. I have checked the fuse, and also used a 12 volt tester which showed that there was no power going to the cigarette light, so whats next?

Most likely just replace it. You could pull the fuse and then use a small screwdriver to try and pull the tabs inside the receiver in toward the center a little. It could be that repeated insertion and extraction of the lighter or accessory plug has bent them outward enough that they're not making sufficient contact to power what you plug in. If that doesn't work, replace it and then put the fuse back in.
