Question about 1997 Hyundai Sonata
I have a 1997 hyundai sonata 2.0l and it will act like it is going to cut out and stall. The Tach shows that the RPM drops instantatiously but it has a manual transmission and the engine speed did not drop as much as the tach shows. I got a code P0300 misfire code. This is an intermitant problem but is getting worse. Another problem I have is I can't get the emissions readiness codes to clear and I need them to clear to pass the emissions test..
I researched your problem and couldn't find any Service Bulletins or Recalls or Campaigns related to it. It seems, you'll have to take it into a Hyundai Service Center and pay the diagnostic fee to find out what's wrong. They'll give you an estimate of repairs (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc.) You can decide what you want to do then.
By the way, the symptom you describe could be fuel, electrical or both.
