THERE ARE 2 TEMP SENSORS ONE IS FOR THE LIGHT OR GAUGE AND THE OTHER IS FOR THE ECM. IF THE ONE FOR THE ECM IS FAULTY IT CAN CAUSE HARD COLD STARTS

Timing check

Ignition timing would not change with the engine temp.
I'm going to assume the check engine light is not on when the engine is running, otherwise you would have checked the computer for trouble codes. And I'm sorry you dumped so much money in parts trying to fix it before troubleshooting it first.
The two things that come to mind based on your description are low fuel pressure or a problem with the EGR valve. Did the friend check base fuel pressure with the engine cold and warmed up ?

My 2001 Chevy Cavalier acts like it is not getting gas, a new fuel pump and fuel filter and line was put on and it quit again on me, another fuel pump, spark plugs or points was put on and still will

Check your lines, specifically where your filter housing goes into the fuel tank. I had the same issue and I just had to replace that filter along with a hose. It seems the line somehow got clogged. I hope you find this helpful.

said engine act like its running out of gas.replace fuel filter.sound like you have intake vacuum leak or faulty idle air control valve.use scanner to erase code or turn off radio disconnect negative battery cable for a minute to erase code.

Runs poorly(very Rich, stumbles) when map sensor is plugged in, but runs smoother with it unplugged...new map sensor, EGR, TPS, O2, Fuel Pump, timing is right, good vacuum at map, no vacuum leaks,

If it is fuel injected you may have a bad fuel pressure regulator. The regulator is attached to intake manifold with a vacuum hose and the bladder sometimes fails causing gas to be dumped directly into the intake manifold. Only solution is to replace the fuel pressure regulator.

stop throwing parts at it and get it checked by a real mechanic. save you some money. if you have a meter you can check the tps sensor. its about the only thing you didnt do yet

We have a 1993 Chevy C1500 with a 5.7 that is dumping fuel at idle. We've put new injectors in it, new map sensor, O2 sensor, air control sensor, temp. sensor, new computer & chip, EGR sensor, Pickup...

something is creating alot of air to pass over the 02 sensor.

Low compression
Big vacuum leak.
Weak ignition
IAC stuck a little open.
TPS that is saying your foot is on the gas when it is not.
EGR stuck open a little.
Too low an idle
Weak spark plugs
Bad fuel pressure regulator
No vacuum to the fuel pressure regulator.
Bad coolant temp sensor.

What are the readings. Need to know the co and the hc reading in order to know if you have a misfire or an over fueling issue. All 5 reading are really needed to diagnose fuel related issues sight unseen

An air ambient temp sensor wouldn't have that kind of effect on the engine. I would lean more towards the CTS. Also I would check the vaccum line running into the MAP sensor as well. The mileage doesn't indicate a converter issue.
