Question about 1998 Mitsubishi Galant
I purchased this used and now I need to change the oil and I can't get the hood open. The cable inside is still attached but a little loose so it doesn't pull it enough to open it . It looks like the hood is sprung as it aligns on the sides of the hood but has about a 3 inch gap in front.
You should be able to unscrew the hood latch release from the interior of the car and take the cable loose so you can pull the cable out more also once it is released put it back together and adjust the release from the front of the car should be three bolts.
