Either the float no longer floats or the float valve is stuck open. The easy fix is to replace the carb with a rebuilt one.

I have a 93 gmc suburban it starts then dies if I put my foot on the gas to keep it running smoke comes out the muffler and when I take my foot off the gas it dies

Sounds like too much fuel, could be a leaking injector, faulty pressure regulator, or blockage of air intake. Did you replace the injectors and pressure regulator when you worked on the throttle body ? Can you see normal fuel spray on both injectors when the engine is running ?

The carbarator in 1982 van isflooding after rebuilt

The most common reasons are dirt in the passages or a faulty float or needle and seat.
The float pushes down on the needle to shut off gas flow from the pump.
Its also possible one of the gaskets has failed and the carb is leaking internally.

84 f150 carburetor out of tune

When you get a rebuilt carb you have no idea what the
applications are for

I suggest you rebuild your own,
that way you have all the settings
& experience when your done

I think the float needs to be set correctly
& maybe the pump if there is anything for that
external

You have to have some knowledge about basic
adjustments of air idle screws

Start about one turn out from seated & then use a
vacuum gauge to get the highest reading & then go in
a 1/4 turn
Can use a tach also or both, then reset the timing

I would have all 3 on motor at once

When done you set the idle screw with air cleaner on

remove the fuel line from the carb, put it into a bottle, crank the engine, If the bottle has fuel in it the fuel pump is working properly, if not, check the filter, and the fuel lines to the tank!!!

Sounds to me that the carb. is bad, most likely its a Qjet, best thing to do here is to have it rebuilt, but better yet get a replacement, unless you know someone that will rebuild it for you witch i dought, they don't call them Qjunk for nothing.
