1993 Plymouth voyager--brake light on no power assist

Brake light comes on and power assist. Started out coming on only for a few seconds , month later a few minutes and now is on most of the time. When light on power assist is off and no power brakes. Light does come on occassionally and power assist / power brakes come on.

Either ur Abs brains  shot which r located below the battery or u have a vacum hose unattached which there is about 4 runing all around the mastercylinder......but my guess would be the ABS ECU

I have a plymouth grand voyager 96 and the alternator was just replaced the battery was just replaced but the ABS light just started coming on again. My husband starts the vehicle w/o putting his foot on...

The battery and alternator does not have any link with the ABS and so the case of the ABS indication coming up while it is started can be also due to the brake pressure not build up as the pedal is OFF. So try putting your foot on the brake and start. If not the unit is malfunctioning, or if there is a sensor fault in the wheels.

Abs light comes on after few min of driving. changed brakes. what could it be?

You may have to bleed the entire brake system. Air in the line can cause this problem. They may have bleeding instructions on the master cylinder reservoir(the 1993 model does). With some tubing ,some brake fluid, a pan or jar, a wrench ,and a helpers foot you can do this bleed this yourself .Just be careful not to put in more air than you take out.

This morning when I started my '98 Voyager. It started for about five seconds then turned off. This happened three times. Started it one more time and revved the engine. Same thing, five seconds then off....

I think the reason it starts and turns off is most likely you fuel pump the abs light on could be the brake fluid level and or the brakes may need replaced.

Brakes fail when engine started, then work after 3 minutes or so

1st , get a new mechanic.
2nd , check level of brake fluid. if it gets too low , light will come on
3rd Play with your E-Brake ( parking brake ) , Switch may be sticking.

I assume your brakes are working ! ?
