92 2.2l cavalier runs fine but, long distances it runs rough then dies when stopping ,will restart in neutral

I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TO DO!!.have a 92 cavalier sitting in the driveway that stalled out at stop signs everytime it got warmed up. It's so simple I was furious with myself once I figured it out.
So ill save you time and money. It's the a/c low pressure switch. Just pop your hood and right behind the passenger headlight there will be an aluminum a/c line. Right on top you will find something plugged into the line. Just unplug it and your problems are over. It's stupid simple! If your a/c still works you'll wanna replace it. But if its a beater like mine you'll just let the plug hang and it won't cost you a dime

91 chevy cavalier for the first 5 minutes runs rough and stalls. after 5 minutes it runs with no problem. no service lights.

remove the spark plus and check the deposit color, light color on one or two indicates a head gasket leak,

91 automatic Cavalier stalls after stopping

It sounds like the torque converter clutch. Just unplug it. It is the square 4 pin plug on the front of the transmission. Once it is unplugged and you get it unlocked, it will be fine. Just leave it unplugged, it won't hurt anything.

Cavalier 91 starts after a while its super hot

Yeah,,,,,,,,,,,I think you might want to change the thermosat.......If that doesnt do it , you may want to think about having the radiator flushed...........I have seen that happen, but we started with the simplist thing first.....Go for it , I think you are on the right trail ...Good luck, RC

Idle and stalling

Here is the most common cause of surges and stalls and low idle rough idle, it is the idle speed control air-bypass valve and throttle valve (IAC for short), they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls, low idle) like yours, Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake.
