Question about 2000 Dodge Stratus
THE MECHANIC REPLACED THE FUEL PUMP AND CAN'T GET IT TO START UP. HE SAYS IT SHOWS NO CODES, HE CHECKED TO SEE IF IT JUMP TIMING AND ITS OK, IT HAS FIRE AND FUEL TO ENGINE, BUT JUST TURNS OVER WITHOUT STARTING. ANY IDEAS GUYS? HE'S TOTALLY BAFFLED! I'm having the same exact problem with my car. I've changed the fuel pump, spark plugs, spark plug wires, and ignition coil. I'm not sure where to go from here.
I agree I pulled my top cover and saw the belt turning and assumed it was right and realized without actually pulling the bottom and checking the marks you just don't now when I turned mine over it sounded different and then I new the timing had jumped time

Did he physically check the timing? IE pulled the timing cover off? You need a good scan tool. See if it shows cam and crank sensors, and if they are in sync. If you are infact getting fuel and spark, it should run, but you are not getting one or the other.
