I have a 1988 Dodge D150 I am getting NO power to the starter.

My 1988 Dodge D150 is getting no power to the starter. I have tried just about everything and nothing seems to be working. I am at a loss.Do you have any ideas what the problem could be?

You mean the main wire has no power, or the solenoid wire gets no power with the key turned.

If the starter relay was replaced (little box on the drivers side wheel well with multiple blade connections) and the starter wires are checked for bad/loose connections or maybe cut/faulty connections from that relay to the starter if still nothing save time by replacing the starter if nothing still Than its the voltage regulator/ coil or distributor get yourself familiar with a tester for future issues or use one now connect to the relay turn the key if you get numbers when the key is being turned like trying to start the truck than you got power just a bad relay or starter... my relay made noise like a klunk sound when I tried to start mine same when the starter went out it makes about the same noise just replace both and go to a parts store bring the clip that connects to the negative side of the starter and the positive side too replace both (use weather proof splice connects) that is also a common problem the connections on the starter could be to blame

I have Dodge Ram D150 1988 with 318Cu engine. I am restoring it and it has stood still for 4-5 years. The problem is that I have gotten it to run but know it´s starts but it´s like it...

-If it has Distributor Cap and Rotor check them and their contact point should not be rusty, cut/worn. Rotate Distributor assly for getting a better synchronization/timing.
- check you have fuel pressure at fuel rail.
- is the fuel fresh. Spray some starting fluid in the air intake. If it starts up then problem is with fuel.

I have a 1984 Dodge d150 4x2 truck. I was driving down off the highway and i lost all power. i thought it was the fuel pump, i replaced it and gas flowed better. i started to drive again and i lost power...

have you checked for spark? check all the leads going to the coil from the battery and from the coil to the distributor, if any are loose or faulty it will cause you to lose all power, also check the terminals.

My Dodge 1985 d150 won't start. New starte,

if you hear a loud click from starter it could be the motor contacts in the starter have gone bad. you will have to remove starter and have it repaired or replaced. check again to make sure that the battery is charged up on truck. also check for a loose ground wire to starter or engine block.
