Question about 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer
After riding the engine revs increase to 4000. If the engine is switched off and restarted, theengine idle's at about 1000 revs. I have a 1980 CB400 with the same revving issue described above. I have replaced the air-control valves, adjusted and cleaned the carbs. Not sure where to go now. I think I am going to go the accellerator pump route. I am pretty sure it is vacuum related because I made it lose vacuum and it stopped revving. Any insight would be helpfull. Will let you know what I find with the accellerator pump. Hayden My 05 lancer rpms get up to 3k when sitting in heavy traffic on and off the clutch. when I drive normal again it goes down to 800 rpm's (the normal). It seams to do it when it gets hot it did it once over the winter in bad heavy traffic and now it does it all the time in warmer weather.
Spray a samll amount of either near each vacum line connection if the rpms go up theres your leak!!
