Question about 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer
When sitting in heavy traffic on and off the clutch my 05 lancer starts to rev it will rev to 2k then 3k and will stay there for a while till I start to drive normal. I can shut the car off and turn it bvack on and it will still rev. It is almost like the throttle cable is being held open when the engine gets really hot. Can anyone please help I took it to the dealer and he wanted to replace an $800 clutch?
Try diconnect the positive terminal for about 30 mins or less for the computer reset it self if that don't work try cleaning the throttle body sensor with caborator cleaner below intake hole do this make the positive terminal is off, then put everything back together and go for a drive see what happen that had worked for good luck!!!.
