All the water goes to the overflow? It could be as simple as a new radiator cap. However you may need to replace the Thermostat your mechanic or local autoparts store can show you where it is. However it also could be a tempature control sensor or a few other Items not always a clear cut solution.

Hey Gary!

I have noticed this condition in a few cars and have found the solution to be one of the following in each incidence ;
Cause :The drain plug in the floor board was dislodged / missing.
(assume that someone had spilled or inundated the rear compartment floor pan at one point and dislodged the plugs to relieve the excess?).
Correction : reseal the plug holes (bung holes).
Inspection proposal ;
Lay on the ground and inspect the underside of the suspect area of the vehicle. Note the 2.5 inch diameter simetrical holes with black rubber plugs protruding them.
Note condition and presence of plugs.

The front right inner fender (plastic liner that isolates the splash from tread water exhaust) is compromised , allowing the water to flow from the tire to the interior rear floor pan via the hollow thresh hold under the doors (assuming they have not rotteed out yet) to the point in the upper structural pillar between the front and rear compartments.

Solution ; GREATSTUFF the area and paint with a matching paint color.

Just had the idle air control motor replaced and within 1 day, the a/c stopped working and a lot of fluid saturated the front passenger side floor board. Can this recent repair be related to this issue as...

You might take it back to who ever changed the idle air control motor and ask them about it. They could have knocked the drain tube out, or plugged it to stop it from dripping on them or the floor.
You can try this...

Could be the drain tube is partially clogged. It is usually located on the fire-wall or down towards the floor pan under the car. It is usually close to where the A/C lines go thru the fire-wall. About 1/2 inch diameter sticking straight out but may have a 90 degree elbow pointing down.
Also, it's been extra hot and humid all over and moisture could be freezing inside the unit when on MAX A/C, then suddenly melting when switched to normal. This opens the outside air door and allows warm/hot air into the unit instead of recirculating the cold air inside the car. The drain may not be able to handle a large, sudden quantity of water.
Perform a "driveway" test. Open the hood, start engine and run the A/C on normal with the windows or doors open. Locate the drain tube by looking for water dripping. Once located twist 2 or 3 pipe cleaners together and verify the tube is clean. Then close the doors/windows and switch to MAX A/C. Check for water dripping. If it stops dripping, water is freezing inside and now you know why!

Okay, if its Clean water under the car, It is supposed to do that. It does it while you drive too.
If it is leaking onto the floorboards inside the car, No, it is not supposed to do that. If this is the case....

2005 Dodge Caravan front floor board has water on it

Check the AC drain that comes out of the firewall under the hood.
Looks like a flimsy ruber tube that goes no where. If this gets clogged water will accumulate and come out whem making turn etc.
