Question about 1992 Honda Civic
Hi, i own a 92 honda civic 1.5L. i recently bought it so never paid attention to the details. i've recently noticed that when i start-up my car in the morning the rpm needle hits 35000 - 20000 rpm. then after a minute or two it drops to 15000 rpm. that is the lowest it goes. also at sertain times the rpm needle swings between 10000 - 25000 rpm at start-up for about three to four times!
now, i know it's not normal because today while drivong on the freeway, whenever i had to hit the brakes and slow down, the needle would start to move up and down. i haven't had a tune-up on the car yet and i can bet that the previous owner had never done it either! will full tune-up help?
Defenitly, also check for loose or broken vacum lines, and also check the ilde control valve or sensor.
