You don't say what engine but if the dist doesn't turn when cranking it maybe the cam belt has snapped. Give more detail.

if you didnot mark rotor orientation before removing pyt engine on top dead center # 1 cyl line roter up to #1 plugwire post on dist cap with a light look down the shaft bore for a slot that matches the end of dist shaft if they do not match p[osition get a long screw driver an turn the shaft in engine until they do then drop dist you may have to turn the rotor backwards about a tooth when you start to drop whn the cam and dist gears mesh it will line up oil pump drive shaft to dist shaft

Will not start no fire a plugs 1994 sub 350

Check the distributor ignition module in the distributor. Also check to see if you have power going into the distributor. If you do, It's a safe bet that the distributor is bad. Check the cap and rotor if they haven't been changed in awhile. Order of cheapest to most expensive is actually. Power into dist. Cap and rotor, then Dist/module.

Replace the spark plugs and wires along with a distributor cap and rotor. Be careful to leave the old wires and plug wires connected to dist.cap, just remove dist. cap from the distributor and lay aside with plug wires on it then install rotor then new cap and proceed to replace each wire for cap and spark plug one at a time so you don't mix up the spark plug wire firing order. Cap laying to the side is used for reference purpose.

Oil leak thru distributoron my 1994 honda accord lx.

you can buy a distributor o-ring seal real cheap at any honda dealer and they will most likey have it in stock as this is a common leak area. all you need to do is remove the 3 8mm bolts holding the distributor cover and wires-move out of the way. then you have 3 12mm bolts holding the dist to the engine head. it only goes back in one way. hope this helps you

How to change ignitor on 1991 honda accord

Honda has 2 distributors, Hitachi (with an internal ignitor) and Toyo Denso (with an external mounted ignitor). The toyo denso is removed by removing 2 bolts and a harness clip on the outside of the distributor. The Hitachi requires that you remove the dist. cap, rotor, and 'reluctor', which is under the rotor, the ignitor is under that, remove the retaining screws, make sure the screws are put back in the same locations, as one is a 'diamegnetic' screw, and must be replaced in the correct location.

How can I disasemble a 1994 Altima distributor? I need to change the internal seal o bearing since it is leaking oil to the inside of the housing.

You do not need to disasemble the entire distributor. Unplug the black electrical connector from the distributor. (with a white marker or correction ink)Mark the screws and dist to maintain the same settings. remove the two main screws, one in the front and one in the rear of the distributor assembly(not on the cap). The Distributor should slide out. These O-ring seals are not sold at the dealers or parts store. They want you to pay over $150+ to replace the entire dist. I brought in the old seal and I was able to match a seal at autozone. It worked. Hopefully this helpd
