It is not hard just time consuming first u have to remove in side panel. Then the barrier reach inside door and disconnect lock rod. After that done disconnect second rod then remove the two bolts holding handle to door. Handle is removed change key lock over if needed. Installed is reverse or removed
Close/wind up the window. Remove the inside door panel. Be careful with power window switch and door speaker wiring connectors. Disconnect them before pulling the door panel away. Remove any plastic covers that may be glued to the door. Have a look at the door handle from inside the door. You will have some idea as to how to remove it. Usually door handles are secured by screws from the inside. Locate and remove them. Remove linkages to the door handle then pull handle form outside.
This iis very coomon, the part of the handle that broke is the part that releases the latch, you will need to replace the handle, the inside door panel needs to be removed to replace the handle, some of these are revited on and you will need to drill out revits from the outside and disconnect the linkage from the inside, hope this is helpful.
You have something broke or not working inside the door. You have a huge problem. You will need to remove the door panel with it closed which is going to be hard to do. Once you can get into the inside of the door you will be able to inspect the linkage and figure what is the real problem inside. The door lock assembly will never work correctly till you find out if a clip broke and you can't know that till looking inside
easy fix , just remove inside door cover, and install new handle, but handle broke because of bad hendge bushings making door hard to open, driver side ususlly first to brake then passenger door a year later. need body shop to replace door bushings
very easy there are little cover u need to take screws out of the pull the trim panel starting from the bottom take mirror cover of and pull the trim of there is a vapor plastic easy after that
You need to remove the door panels to gain access to the 10 mm bolts that will release the handles. You will also need to release the lock cylinder rod and the handle control rod, behind the handles. Not a hard job at all.
the inside handle and otside both work the release seperate.
what you need to do is take the door panel off the inside by a couple screws (usually in the arm rest) and several plastic clips
around the perimiter which will pull out when you pry out on the panel. You can do this carefully with a screw driver but the proper
fork tool from parts store will be easier. look inside door at latch
and see if your piece is broke or possibly the rod may have just come out and need to be put back in place. If your handle piece is broke it is easy to replace once your inside the door.
thank you
