My hubby is out working out of the country and I need some advice. My 2001 Tahoe all brake lights are out - suddenly went out. I have not towed anything since last July. I check the bulbs, they look good to me (no filaments are broke that i can see). I checked the fuses and they are good (unless there is one that I had forgotten)- any ideas? I have an appt. next week for it, but if there is something else I can check and potentially fix that would be awesome!

- No the blinkers, reverse lights and i thinkk they are called parking lights (red lights when headlights come on) all work. It is just my brakes lights that do not. I check the bulb and the filaments look intact, but the bulb has a black, irridescent like color to them on the top of the bulb.

When driving the engine it will start slowing down and then just quit running. The more Throttle you give the worse it is. This happened suddenly when after driving it and it has been running fine. My friend put a gadget on it and it gave the code PO174, PO900, and PO171
