I have helped many Honda/Acura owners on this issue. Many mechanics will replace many parts prior to solving this problem, which then creates unnecessary repairs and spending. So here is my diagnosis: Notice if your speedometer drops to zero when your engine dies while driving. If this happens its your ignition switch failing. Ignition switches in Honda/Acura vehicles years 97-02 encounter faulty or shorted internal contacts. This causes premateur electrical failure to vital engine electrical parts, causing vehicle to stall intermittedly. A recall has been in place since 2002, approximately 1.3mil vehicles are affected, call your local honda/acura dealer for info and possible free repair or replace the ignition switch yourself. Hopefully my info helps you!!

Your best bet is to go to the dealer. They can provide you with a code. They usually provide this info. to indivuduals that have had to replace their car battery and their radio has lost it's memory. It also might be for people that have replaced their cool upgraded head unit with the original one before they sell their car.
I hope this helps.
