Question about 2005 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible

1 Answer

Reat turn signals work when they want too!

2005 vw has apparently a turn signal short works sometime. we also have to have headlights constantly replaced--whereas our 1999 ford pickup has never had one replaced at all.

thank you for your response to my question---it's extremely upsetting when the volkswagon people just continue to **** in your money and never really fix the problem. I love my VW but this ruins it when it's a continous problem. Thank You and I do appreciate your time and help.

Bypass head light switch and see what you get. Three items can cause your problem . The head light switch, flasher relay , shorts in circuit. I would go with switch.

Turn signal not working

on an older car this woul dsimply mean that the turn signal flasher was burned out for that side. today its more complex. the turn signal flasher is a series of resistors and timer modules located in the workings of the body control module. This can be a simple problem with a shorted line, or a faultly turn switch or something as complex as needing a new body control module. This is something that needs to be repaired by a quality automotive mechnican with an electrical backround, and unfortunatley unless your in the nyc area i have none to suggest to you.
