Leaking radiator fluid but not from rad., pink fluid, no hose leaks

Are there sensors in a vortec 6cyl that control fuel pressure? I have a 1998 or 99 Chevy blazer leaking what I thought was radiator fluid cause its pink, but rad. is full. checked all hoses cannot find the leak but its coming from somewhere. Feels kinda guttless, rpms aren't as high as they usually are. suggestions?

A fluid leak that is pink and/or red colored is usually either power steering fluid or transmission fluid. I recommend checking both. You can check the power steering fluid when the car is off. However, the transmission fluid should be checked with the engine warm and idling in neutral. Have someone else step on the brake or use the parking brake and block the wheels while you're measuring the transmission fluid level.

Transmission lines

You need 6" of fuel line hose the same size as the threaded end on the rad, 4 hose clamps to fit the hose and 2 bolts that will fit snugly in the fuel line. Cut the fuel line in half and clamp a bolt in one end of both pieces. Then clamp each piece over one fitting on the rad. This should be enough to handle rad pressure if the old cooler was leaking.

Leaking anti freeze below engines radiator why?

there is a possibility that it is a radiator hose, or it could be a bad radiator i would take it to a shop and have them do a pressure test on the cooling system and see what they say !
if you have any mechanical skills you can try to warm the jeep up and then when it is hot look around the radiator and see if you see were its leaking from !

i hope this helps

My rad keeps leaking antifreeze in 2 areas, one in the back one in the front beside the rad.how many hoses to i buy ? also my power steering fluid leaks.do i have to buy one hose or 2 hoses?

time out! is the hose really leaking or is it the radiator itself? no sense replacing hoses to stop a radiator leak. if it is a hose, there is an upper and a lower. your power steering could be leaking at the rack, or a hose (there are 2, a pressure hose and a return hose), or the pump, or the fluid resevoir. you must be absolutely sure where it is leaking before you buy parts unless you are filthy rich, and if you are, you can adopt me real cheap

Radiator fluid leaking, not from radiator or hoses going into engine block. Comes out from above transmission pan.

If the leak is back there? sounds like an intake gasket or head gasket if you ruled out the hoses

My car keeps overheating but no leaks, and the thermostat hose still gets hot. whats the problem? its a 99 crown vic police package

since this vehicle has a thermal clutch fan I'd start there

are ALL the hoses getting hot?
  • upper rad hose
  • lower rad hose
  • heater hoses
does the overheating reduce when you turn on the heat at full speed

I HAVE ENOUGH FUEL PRESSURE TO RUN WELL, BUT NOT ENOUGH TO START

Then your best bet is to change the fuel pump. It must be too weak. You could have the pressure tested first, if you want to be sure. It has to be either that or a faulty idle control sensor.

Leak at top hose at radiator

When cooled down & pressure relieved, Drain rad down below if not already below that fitting, and remove it and have a look. It may be a simple as cleaning rad inlet & inside of hose and attaching new clamp & tightening. if hose very spongy feel (weak) replace it now, and save trouble down the road.top up rad & return bottle as necessary.
