There are products made to deal with this issue, most of the big chain car parts stores carry a product that will work. tell the counter people what you are looking for, they will help you out. it's spray adhesive in a can just follow the directions. i have used it, it works pretty well. in a few years the top will usually fall down again. by that time my car had other problems and i got rid of it so i can't say if another application would make it stay up a while longer. hope that helps

Saggy interior roof fabric

The only real way to do this right is to remove the headliner. That is the ceiling piece. Once it is sagging it needs to be replaced or restretched. The way you do this is to remove all of the trim around the top, the roof console you have showing, the visors, dome lights, vents and anything else that is holding this on. What I did is remove it myself and have a professional replace the fabric and then I put it back in myself. Worked out great and over all saved me about $700.00. He charged me 170 to put on the new fabric which included the cost. If you move forward with doing this yourself I can give you a couple of tips.

1996 Ford Thunderbird - What is this sagging cable?

It is your e-brake cable. e-brakes are mechanical, not hydraulic, therefore it has nothing to do with your master cylinder. adjust the cable at the e-brake itself or re-hang the cable to its rightful resting place.

How do I replace the headliner in a Cadillac Sedan DeVille 1992 model

You could probably take the side closest to the sagging down and spray the ceiling with adhesive and then press it back up. That would probably be the cheapest bet. An auto detailing shop might also be able to do it for you if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself.

The headliners in these cars all come down sooner or later. The headliner in my 1979 Sedan deVille is finally starting to come loose and I'm dreading doing a replacement because my Burnished Gold interior color will likely be challenging to match correctly. The headliner fabric comes loose because the fabric is glued to thin foam. The foam disintegrates over time and the fabric comes loose as a result. Gluing the existing headliner fabric back to the old broken down foam underneath will never correct the problem. The only way to fix it is to remove the old headliner and replace with a new one.

Hope helps.

1989 delta 88 royale 4 dr sedan; the headliner is sagging, this car has never been wrecked and has only 40000 miles onit

Best bet would be an auto upholstery shop. The dealers can work on them, but I would go with the guy with everyday experience. In the worst case, if you had to replace the headliner, you could have a choice of fabrics and colors.
If anyone can fix your old one they can.

Convertible rear window separated from fabric top

This problem is very common and is known as delamination.
Use Urethane adhesive to reglue the window.
This same adhesive is used to install windshields.
The hard part will be to hold the window in place till the Urethane cures.
Prepare for that in advance.

The vent flap foam lining has come loose and needs to be removed or reglued . A spray on contact adhesive works best , don't glue the flap to the vent casing.
