Replace fuel pump injectors filter and plugs on 91 honda accord. A week ago started acting as if not getting enough gas will spit and sputter then die. Takes a few tries to get running again. Thought there was bad gas replace filter again yet still doing it. Also nothing coming out of muffler. No air nothing
Check to see if you hear buzzing from the tank when you turn the ignition to on position. If you hear nothing, pull your rear seat cushion out and check your fuel pump. Main relay under the dash is also a common problem (grey box with burgundy 6pin connecto I believe). Try smacking both pump and relay and trying to start the car. Also check to make sure you out the spark plug wires back in the same spot.

Mass air flow sensor ,maybe ! Having someone with diagnostic skill's reading engine sensor data would probably be your best bet.
Check gap on plugs, did you use new o rings on the injectors

Check the distributor by letting the car run and tug on the wiring and see if the car acts up. Under the thermostat housing is a wiring harness, I've seen coolant drip on the connector of the O2 sensor and cause this problem too. The main relay is the switch you're referring to. It's located under the dash of the driver's side to the left. I've definitely seen these go bad. Use a test light on the hot wire to the fuel pump. Have an assistant turn the key in the "on" position and see if you have power there. Let me know what you found out so I can hopefully give you more things to check out. Have the fuel pump checked for fuel pressure. Sounds like you got residual pressure but not sufficient running pressure.

have the fuel pressure checked, the fuel pump may be going out.

The carb throat needs to be cleaned. You can pay chev $400 or do it yourself for under $10. Just get a can of cleaning solvent at the parts house and follow the directions on the can.

i think the common "ask a mech" is why most folks use fixya....$$$$$$....and hell yes they will charge u ....take advantage of u and i have a trust issue .....what i do first is check to see if u r getting fuel loosen the gas line in the motor place a towel underneath and get some one to turn the car over....if its comnig out good...u r getting proper fuel if it is spitting or very slow start with replacing fuel filter or just check it ....if u can blow through it without forcing hard its okay..if you have to blow very hard and don't feel air from other side its stopped up....now...if its getting gas and filter is good...make sure u r getting good spark...take #1 spark plug off from the plug only and get a wood or rubber handle screw driver and stick in plug wire hole then get someone to turn car over...if u see a spark then u r getting spark...if not ....well... it could be coil wire...plug wires....bad coil pack etc....start with these tasks first and THEN seek a mech...at least u can tell him/her its getting fuel...its getting spark..and the mech will realize u know something and may be less likely to take advantage of u! Good luck!
