There is a single phillups screw that hold the turn signal housing to the head lamp. remove this screw. after that the turnsignal housing will be loose but act as though something is still holding it. I usually take a small flat tip screw driver and place between the headlight and turnsignal housing about a quarter of the way down and pry the turn signal housing forward and out at the same time while puling with my free hand. Since this lamp fixture is difficult to get a grip on, the flathead screwdriver is used only to help pull the lamp fixture from the fender. After the fixture is in the open the actual lamp socket twist locks into position from behind. once the socket is removed the bulb simply slides straight out from the socket. Installation is reverse of removal.

My high beam headlight wont work and i already changed the light bulb and put a new socket. I dont know what can be wrong with it?

One side or both? There are fuses for the left and right high beams in the underwood fuse block. They are 10amp fuses. If those are good than I will need to know if you have daytime running lamps or not. You will also need a test light or volt meter. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

2004 Toyota Avalon...odometer light on dash board is out. I this a fuse issue? What fuse do I need to replace?

I have a 2004 Toyota Avalon. When I put the headlights in the "ON" position; I can barely see the dash lights! Is this a problem with a fuse, the lights behind the dash or the dimmer switch

High beam headlights not working

Hello chinson. When the highbeams are not working, the problem is usually the switch. Since this is a 2008, your warranty will probably be in play. Contact your Toyota dealer before you do a self-repair. Joe

Need to replace dashboard lamp on my 1997 Toyota

You need to pull the instrument cluster out of the dash. This is not a very hard job, but, you can damage the outer dash fascia as it comes off, past the steering wheel.

Move the steering wheel to its lowest position.
Remove the phillips screws that surround the instrument cluster fascia (under the top edge)
Pull the fascia off.
Remove the 4 screws that holds the instrument cluster to the dashboard
Remove the wiring connectors from the back of the cluster assembly, and pull it out. Replace the bulb, and reassemble. The wiring connectors cannot be mixed up, they are all unique.
