Question about 2001 Toyota Avalon
I need to replace the lamp in the right hand headlight. Could you please let me know the easiest way of doing this
There is a single phillups screw that hold the turn signal housing to the head lamp. remove this screw. after that the turnsignal housing will be loose but act as though something is still holding it. I usually take a small flat tip screw driver and place between the headlight and turnsignal housing about a quarter of the way down and pry the turn signal housing forward and out at the same time while puling with my free hand. Since this lamp fixture is difficult to get a grip on, the flathead screwdriver is used only to help pull the lamp fixture from the fender. After the fixture is in the open the actual lamp socket twist locks into position from behind. once the socket is removed the bulb simply slides straight out from the socket. Installation is reverse of removal.
