When i turn on the defroster or heater and turn the fan on, it blows for a few minutes then quits blowing. Sometimes it blows again while driving then stops again. Hot air comes out while I am driving after the car warms up but it's only while moving - the fan has quit. The fan makes a clicking sound while slowing down before stopping altogether. The fan blows again when a passenger puts his foot under the dash and presses on the motor. Does it need a new fan motor? I had the same problem, and when I crawled down into the passenger side under the dash and checked the fan housing, the wiring/plug is touchy; the fan will come on full force when I hold the wire/plug a certain way against the housing, and when I let go the fan stops. Not sure how to fix that, though.
Unhook your battery unplug the harness that's touchy get a sharp object that you can pry the connectors together with you will see them wide open crimp then tight enough to get a good tight fit, the amperage draw from the motor has stretched them out and when it gets warn with current passing threw it opens up and loses contact. while it's apart take a emory board and clean the flat spades on the other side so you have a good connection.
