AC Wont charge after replacing components

99 T&C limited, how do I disable the AC low pressure cut out switch so I can recharge the system. We have replace front and rear expansion valve, AC blower dryer on 99 town and country 3.8 LXI with rear air. We discovered a leak on rear, fixed the leak, now we have no leaks. However it will not charge, on gauges on low side goes to 110+ PSI. We don't have leaks... Please HELP ASAP. Compressor spins, have jumpered to ensure on relay.

Are their different types of systems vacuums. Went to a Jiffy Lbe place, hey vacuumed but said i had to go to another shop because their equipment (vacuum) could not do major clogs. Were they pulling my leg because they just didn't know what to do. Or are there different vacuum types?

Whenever the ac system has been opened it should be hooked up to a vacuum pump designed to evacuate the ac system of any foreign debris and oil etc and after should be able to hold a vacuum to show that there are in fact no leaks then if all is ok at this point you can then charge your ac with the proper freon specified for you car when the pressure reaches satisfactory level the ac compressor will then cycle on you should not bypass the low pressure switch

Low side should never read 110 means it was overcharged. normal readings are about 30-50 lbs on the low side. the pressure switch reads high and low if the pressure gets high it turns on the compressor low shuts it off however the high side also has a pressure switch if it gets too high it shuts off the compressor. **** down the system and pull it into a vacumn start the vehicle and put the ac on full blast. then charge it with freon on. no matter what the ac system will take some freon to turn on the compressor. but make sure that expansion valve is the right one that matches up to the old valve there are too many valves that dodge has made that part stores get them mixed up with another vehicle that has different features.

no there are no different kinds of vacuums. an ac vacuum machine may vary in size but do the same thing no matter how big the system is. the best machine to use is a full size ac machine that can pull down the system while gauges are hooked up to test for leaks as well as charging with no problems or swapping of hoses. whether they didnt want to do it, didnt know what they were doing, or it was closing time and everyone wanted to get out of there. make sure to go to a respectful well known shop that offers free ac check as they can pull down the system watch the gauges to make sure there are no leaks and leave it there free of charge, or let them charge the system with exact amount of freon, dye, and oil.

My 99 tahoe a/c is not working and is recharged properly. The clutch does not engage on the compressor and the compressor is new. What can the problem be

if you did the recharge then check the gas pressures as there are two main switches that control the ac operation
one is a high pressure switch which stops operation if there is excessive gas or a blockage and the other is a low pressure switch which stops operation if the gas has leaked out
did you have the ac system checked for leaks before gassing it or replacing the ac compressor
lastly some systems have a relay that controls the ac and that can fail

Need air cindition recharge, don't have cash to take it someplace, can you help with instructions to do this

YOU NEED A R-134 GAUGE SET TO CHECK LOW PRESSURE SIDE AND HIGH PRESSURE SIDE.YOU ALSO CAN BUY A LITTLE CHEAPER GAUGE TO CHECK YOUR AC LOW BLUE SIDE AND HIGH RED SIDE AT ANY AUTO ZONE OR ADVANCE AUTO PARTS.WHAT YOU DO WHEN YOU GET YOUR GAUGE SET HOOK GAUGE TO LOW PRESSURE SIDE BLUE CAP PORT AND GAUGE TO HIGH SIDE PRESSURE RED CAP PORT.YOU CRANK CAR UP GET IT OPERATING TEMPERATURE.THEN TURN AC ON HIGH COOL LET RUN 3 TO 4 MINUTES.CHECK LOW SIDE GAUGE READING SHOULD BE 28 - 32 PSI. HIGH PRESSURE SIDE GAUGE SHOULD 199 - 228 PSI. THATS NORMAL CHARGE. SEE YOU CANT JUST RECHARGE AC SYSTEM UNTIL YOU CHECK IT FIRST YOU WILL DAMAGE SYSTEM .NOW YOU CAN GO TO AUTO ZONE PARTS BUY A CHARGE CAN WITH GAUGE AND HOSE.ATTACH TO IT.YOU NEED MORE THAN ONE CAN.WARNING MAKE COMPRESSOR IS RUNNING WHEN YOU TURN ON AC .BECAUSE IF COMPRESSOR NOT RUNNING CHECK FUSE AND AC COMPRESSOR RELAY.IF BOTH OKAY.YOU COULD HAVE OPEN CLUTCH COIL A FAULTY LOW PRESSURE SWITCH WILL CAUSE AC NOT TO WORK. IF LOW PRESSURE GAUGE BLUE SIDE PRESSURE IS 28 OR 30 YOU DONT NEED A CHARGE.PROBLEM SOME WHERE ELSE.BE SURE TO WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN WORKING ON AC SYSTEM.

I want to recharge my air conditioning in a 1991 cadillac deville

Here's what you do.

Get an R134a recharge kit or R134a recharge hose (with an optional gauge) that has the adapters to put on to the low side port located near the firewall on the passenger side.

If the system is down already, the computer may have disabled the compressor.

To reenable the compressor, disconnect the battery for a few minutes and reconnect.

Charge the system with about 2 or 3 11 oz. or so cans of R134a while the car is running and the temperature is set to the lowest (say 60 deg. F).

If your recharge hose has a gauge on it, the right pressure should be in the green area ranging from 25 psi to 45 psi on the low side when the compressor is running.

Air compressor wont come on to to put in 134a

The AC compressor does not have to be running to charge the AC system, and the low pressure switch will even prevent the AC compressor from operating until there is sufficient pressure to operate the AC compressor without damaging it.

Start the engine and turn on the AC, then charge the system with the R-134a and as soon as there is enough pressure built up to trip the low pressure switch off, the AC compressor clutch should then engage and then finish charging the AC system.

2003 dodge grand caravan ac recharge

you should be adding the 134a to the system the low pressure switch is doing its job by not allowing the compressor to kick on, it wont kick on until there is enough 134a in the system to be above the preset pressure for the low pressure switch.

using a paper clip in a "U" shape jump the two pins on switch it will make the compressor cycle and that will allow you to recharge the system. Good luck and thanks for using FIX YA
