Poor gas comsuption on my passat 1.8T

Changing the gasfilter when lready too much gas gets through does not make much sense.
Inspecting the airfilter and if needed replacing it is the first that comes to mind.
However if it's excessive I would suspect a fuel management problem like oxygen sensor, MAF sensor and the like.
And those cannot be diagnosed by looking at them.

P1613 = Malfunction indicator lamp [ MIL/CEL ] - open circuit / short to positive, fault is Wiring open circuit/short to positive which basically means the wiring to the engine warning light has a short making the CEL live all the time

Where is the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor located in a 2006 hyundai sontata gls v6?

The bank has to do with which side of the engine. The 'Sensor 1' indicates that it is upstream of the catalytic converter.

My MIL light came on for my VW 2004 Passat and I had the code read at Autozone. The code was "system 2 lean; bank one" what does that mean?

It indicated the oxygen sensor at the bank one is reading wrongly or detecting the fault. It must be because the oxygen sensor itself has failed.

2004 Passat, 127,000 miles, engine light has been on and AutoZone printed computer report that lists an oxygen sensor. This needs to be echecked by the end of the week. Low cost suggestions?

Sounds about right for the miles. A Bosch Oxygen Sensor will cost you around $61 - A DENSO is about $10 cheaper(NAPA prices). Easy to replace, and If you do not replace you will eat up allot of fuel and also could take out your catalytic converter too.. Good idea to replace it. A shop typically charges around $65 labor plus parts to replace it.

Take Care

2002 VW Passat GLS 1.8T throwing two codes: P0171 and P0411. No noticeable loss in performance. Can I fix this myself?

System Too Lean (Bank 1)

Basically this means that an oxygen sensor in bank 1 detected a lean condition (too much oxygen in the exhaust). On V6/V8/V10 engines, Bank 1 is the side of the engine that has cylinder #1.
Note: This DTC is very similar to P0174, and in fact your vehicle may show both codes at the same time.

P0411 Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow Detected, check the...Combination valve
...Secondary Air Injection pump motor
...Secondary Air Injection solenoid valve
I would take it to a mechanic

Was driving home and my oil light blinked and the car shutoff will not restart now please help.... 1999 passat sw gls 1.8t

Check the oil level, if the level is good then there is a good chance the oil pressure sensor unit has gone bad or the wire harness has gone bad. Check the wire harness first and if that is good then replace the oil pressure sensor, if the engine ECM detects less then 5 PSI of oil pressure the ECM will shut the engine's fuel system off to prevent engine damage. Good luck and i believe Auto Zone will have the oil pressure sensor and the step by step instructions for you to get the job done with common tools.
