The rear is controled by electric(drive by wire)and it works at all times unless disabled or broken.

On a 1997 nissan sentra do you have to remove steering wheel to install light&blinker switch I .

Once you remove the plastic shrouding around the steering column it will be clear in that case whether it will be possible to remove the old unit and fit a new one without steering wheel removal. As it is likely you will need to remove the steering wheel, make sure that you disconnect the battery before you do any work and remove the SRS airbag fuse(s) as well if you are messing with interior wiring in the vehicle.

you have broken wire under your steering wheel to fix this the wheel needs to come off BUT!! you have a air bag in the steering wheel do not attempt this your self as that air bag can kill you take the car to a shop that understands the process of getting in there , what you have is a broken or bare wire in there thats why you horn blows by its self

How to remove ignition cylinder without key

Hi MCC, You will need to remove the plastic cowling from around the steering column by removing the screws from its underside. Tilt the steering wheel down (if fitted with adjustment) and remove the cowling covers. Disconnect the electrical sockets and then with a cold chisel knock out the four blind bolts. Once the blind bolts are removed the switch and barrel will be easy to remove, unless the lock has activated, in which case a little force may be required to remove the release the locking tongue. However if you can get a good locksmith, who knows the job, a replacement key can be made without removing the barrel. Regards and happy new year, John

Does your vehicle have hub caps if so check to see whether all the clips are ok.
push up and down on each corner and to see if you can hear the noise, it could be a number of problems, ie shocks, bushes, wheel bearings or the bump stops in the shocks.
also jack the car up and check the steering components by wiggiling the wheel left to right looking for excess play and check the CV shafts and boots, usually if the boots are damaged the CVs will either need re greesing or replacing.
