Question about 2003 Ford Mustang

The driver's side window will NOT go down. All the other windows go down fine. The locks all work.

I have a 2003 Mustang convertible. The driver's side window will NOT go down. All the other windows go down fine. The locks all work. It's just this one issue. Because everything else is fine, I wouldn't think it's the fuse. I am between the switch and the relay. Any help?

Ford window motors are bad about burning out. if you can get the door panel off try tapping the motor with a hammer and see if it frees up. if it does, you know the motor needs to be replaced. otherwise the contacts on the switch may be dirty. check the fuse too, just in case.

If the other windows work it is not a problem with the circuit breaker, the problem is either the switch or the motor, test both.

1987 mustang GT convertible windows do not move up and down smoothly. also when removing the drivers side panal the switchs stop working except for the door lock switch.

Get a can of spray Silicone and spray the channels that the glass runs in, soak it good and then operate the windows to distribute the Silicone, that should help, if no then the window regulators may need to be lubed at the pivot points. DO NOT GET THE SILICONE ON THE PLASTIC TRIM PARTS, USE MASKING OF SOME SORT.

1993 mustang 5.0 lx conv rear power window does not go up or down

More than likely it is going to be the switch on the drivers side door. The "master switch" if you will for all of the windows. It is possible that the ground connection came loose from the motor, or there is simply a short in the wiring. Nine times out of ten it is just a problem with the switch. Personally I have a 1995 Mustang GT and my rear drivers side window would not go down. I replaced the switch "it will have controls for all four windows" and now it works fine.

Driver Side window not going back up when the door is closed

you cant do it yourself because if iam not mistaken its a module ......ie the vehicle has no wires only a feed wire and a bus line which recieves a computer signal ,to activate the whatever.Hence its a dealer only job because as the door locks are inside the door this means that the software can be encrypted as its classed as security .

the problem is in the door lock and the assemble must be changed. when one looks in the catch which look the door you will see a white switch in the lock and this the defect. the switch is built in the lock.

this may sound stupid but its only a temporary fix. take the panel off the door and tap the window motor with a small hammer. do all the other windows work? does it make any sound when you hit the button? you probably end up having to replace the window motor.
